Summary: The Acquisition Specialist (SME) will stablish processes around SOC 1 Type 2 reports for non-Army entities to address audit inquiries. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)
  • Creation of the Service Organization Controls (SOC) 1 Type II report development plan as well as the ongoing requirements, plan to maintain the SOC 1 Type II report
  • Maintain the description of GFEBS services provided
  • Maintain the GFEBS Control Catalogue and their description within the Type 2 report
  • Maintain the description of tests and results against the controls within the Type 2 report
  • Support Audit request from serviced organizations pertaining to system controls

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities; however, it will require management of projects and deliverables that may be supported by Junior staff and or other Government/Contract staff.
 
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • MA/MS degree qualifications and/or particular expertise are exceptional and/or highly unique; experience may be used in lieu of education
  • 10+ years of experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in acquisition and program support for a large software or other DoD programs.
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) or other DoD Acquisition Certification preferred
  • Secret Clearance required.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Possesses extensive experience in DoD contract management and execution to include preparation of all contract documentation (e. g., ARP, RFP, SSP, Acquisition Plan)
  • Strong communications skills (both written and oral), strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.
  • Possess and maintain a valid state operator's license.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to occasionally work after hours and/or on-call support.
    Ability to meet minimum security clearance requirements

Work Environment:

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.  Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
