Our Client is seeking a Benefits and Payroll Specialist in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Earn $25.00 per hour at this full-time temporary position.  Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. 

Job Summary:

The Benefits and Payroll Specialist will be responsible for working with our Total Rewards Manager to ensure all benefits and payroll related topics. This person will also be responsible for administration of activities needed to support the Company's Benefits and Wellness program as well as accurate and timely processing of payroll. 

Job Description:
  • Coordinate new hire benefits orientation and enrollment
  • Cobra administration using COBRA third party service provider
  • Serve as a liaison between the health, disability, LTD and life insurance carriers
  • Coordinate wellness activities
  • Update internal website with benefits information
  • Develop and publish payroll/benefits newsletters
  • Reconcile and pay all health and welfare invoices
  • Be a back-up for Payroll Processing
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll for internal employees
  • Process new hires, terminations, and status changes
  • Enter data into payroll system to compute wages and deductions
  • Review wage computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
  • Process garnishments which include child support, tax levies, student loans, etc.
  • Complete appropriate forms for special wages / salary payouts and adjustments or to include making corrections
  • Manage and track employee time, attendance and leave balances
  • Process year-end tax and ACA statements
  • Prepare ad hoc weekly
  • Process new hires, terminations and status changes
  • Filing
  • I-9 Audits
  • Parking Management
  • Assist with Benefits and Wellness events

Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree (BS or BA) in any related field of study 
  • 1 to 3 years of payroll and benefits administration experience
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite 
  • Prior experience with Ultimate Software and or HRIS system 
  • Ability to recognize problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
