Position Overview

Under limited supervision, the Commercial Documentation & Funding Specialist is responsible and use Laser Pro in preparing loan documents for commercial & industrial, commercial real estate and multifamily loans, as approved in the loan credit memorandum (LCM) and ensuring that documents adequately protect the Bank's collateral and adhere to bank standards and regulatory requirements. The Commercial Document & Funding Specialist will work closely with Client Relationship Managers (CRM), Bank associates and title companies to solve problems and coordinate on-time loan closings. Superior customer service must be provided at all times. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that documents are prepared within set turn around processing times
  • Prepare loan documentation, closing and funding for commercial & industrial, commercial real estate and multifamily loans
  • Coordinate with CRM’s to ensure appropriate priority is assigned to loan closings
  • Review approved Loan Credit Memorandum and prepare loan documents using Laser Pro and other document portals used from time to time
  • Work closely with underwriters, processors and managers to ensure loans are documented with accuracy according to terms & conditions approved in the LCM Maintain familiarity with policy, procedures and processes and make suggestions for changes to improve the documentation and funding process
  • Ability to balance and fund loans into customer accounts or by sending a wire to title company
  • Responsible for reviewing entity documents to ensure proper signers are identified and documented
  • Packaging and shipping Fannie Mae Loans virtual and physical files and ensuring that web portals are properly updated
  • Perform other tasks or duties that may be assigned from time to time

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years banking experience 
  • Must have 3 to 5 years of experience using Laser Pro, loan documents for commercial & industrial, commercial real estate and multifamily loans 
  • Courteous and professional customer service attitude 
  • Proficient use of computers, spreadsheets, word processing, and various database systems 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of highly confidential customer and Bank information 
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast pace environment 
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working with ITI Navigator or similar loan servicing system and using a wire processing system preferred
