Our Client is seeking a Manual Machinist - Bilingual in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Earn $18.00 to $20.00 per hour at this full-time, temp-to-hire position.  Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Description:
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Reads and interprets blueprints
  • Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
  • Uses precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools and equipment
  • Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics and composites
  • Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines
  • Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling
  • Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
  • Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend change or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production
  • Ability to track parts and jobs into the vantage system
  • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
  • Knowledge of English and Metric unit system
  • Perform other duties as may be required
  • Support production needs as required

Requirements:
  • High School, trade school or equivalent (i.e. GED) or related experience and / or training
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish - Bilingual
  • Formal training in the operation and programming of CNC equipment
  • 5 plus years’ experience as a skilled manual machinist and completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship program or three years of experience as a skilled machinist
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Read and write English and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Work effectively alone and within a team environment
  • High degree of accuracy and precision in performing work according to instructions and specifications
  • Knowledge of Job related material; tools, materials, methods, and standard practices of the machinist's trade and hazards and safety precautions of the machinist's trade
  • Perform basic mathematical computations
  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Move or transfer products with an overhead crane
  • Lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
