About the Job
The Victor School, a division of Justice Resource Institute, is a private, co-ed therapeutic day school located in Acton, MA that serves students in grades 7-12. Structured educational, therapeutic and transitional services are offered within a twelve month period to emotionally challenged adolescents.
Candidates for this position must have completed their Master’s degree program and hold a valid Massachusetts license, preferably an LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC. This is a full time position working 5 days a week in a year round school.
This person would work closely with an Academic Adviser and the full clinical team while overseeing a caseload of 8-10 students ensuring students are moving towards the goals in their Individualized Education Plans. Other responsibilities include daily check-ins with students, family meetings and coordination with collaterals, conducting groups and clubs, and case management while assisting students in overcoming obstacles to being successful in school. Demonstrated ability to work with DBT, CBT, CPS (Ross Greene) and Solution Based Therapies preferred.
Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast paced, collaborative, creative, and flexible environment. Candidates must have strong communication, organizational, and written skills for interacting with students, staff, professionals, families, communities and collaterals at large. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a history of being flexible, creative and collaborative in a fast paced environment. Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ work experience, or commensurate life experience with prior experience working with adolescents in a supported setting.
