Pediatric Occupational Therapist needed for either part time or full time employment at a busy, family owned pediatric out- patient clinic in Colorado Springs, CO. We are looking for applicants that would be able to start work by the end of July 2017. Applicant must be licensed or license eligible in Colorado. We love new grads however they must have completed their final internship in an outpatient pediatric clinic or similar setting.
Developmental Pediatrics is a small, multi-disciplinary clinic with a strong family friendly focus. We have been providing services to infants and young children since 1987.
Services we provide include Developmental Evaluations, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, Feeding and Oral Motor Therapy, Sensory Integration, Aquatic Therapy,and the Integrated Listening Program. We specialize in the Birth to 3 population but work with children up to the age of 12-14 years. Common diagnoses include Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, Failure to Thrive, Developmental Delay et al.
We strongly believe in the multidisciplinary team approach utilizing all the strengths and knowledge of the different disciplines coordinated for the best outcome of the child. This is a small clinic so collaboration with your teammates is readily available and often on the spot when assistance is needed! Parents are welcome in the therapy sessions so they are able to participate in the therapy sessions and carry over with activities at home.
We currently have 4 PT's, 3 OTR's and 3 SLP's on staff. We utilize a strong Neurodevelopmental and Sensorimotor approach to therapy with at least 1 PT and 1 OTR both NDT certified as well as Baby NDT trained. We enjoy working with therapists thirsty for knowledge and improving their skills and we readily share knowledge. We are a supportive, friendly group of therapists who enjoy bringing out the best in the children we work with as well as the best in each other.
