About the Job
Daybreak is looking for two (2) social service professionals with dynamic energy and demonstrated experience empowering high risk youth to achieve their optimal well-being.
· 2nd shift, 3p-11p, every other Saturday and Sunday.
· 3rd shift, 11p-7a, every other Friday and Saturday.
Residential Specialists supervise residents' and prepare and maintain accurate records. They will be required to do crisis interventions, process incoming clients, hotline calls and meet current productivity standards and expectations regarding client interaction, as needed. They are responsible for ensuring a secure, stable and supportive environment for the residents living in the facility. All activities must be carried out in accordance with ODMH and CARF standards.
Duties also include maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, monitoring of the residents' behavior, health and mental health, dealing with crisis situations and possibly transporting the residents to activities or appointments. Daybreak does not utilize seclusion or restraint and depends upon the Residential Specialists to utilize conflict management and crisis prevention interventions.
Successful candidates will possess an Associate’s degree (AA) in human services or a related field, though a Bachelor’s degree (BA) would be preferred, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with adolescents and families. Please indicate which shift you are applying for.
