Key performance areas
In addition to attracting new clients and opening new markets for Coromant products, the Sale Engineer will be expected to keep up to date on competitor activities, which you will analyze and use to develop territory strategy recommendations for the Regional or Senior Regional Sales Managers. Through testing and evaluation of customer and prospect processes, you will design solutions and tooling systems for any tooling-related production issues customers or prospects may have, and when necessary, present productivity improvement plans (PIPs) that highlight the proper application of Coromant value-added products. Regular interaction with stakeholders both in and outside of the company is routine. In addition to regularly evaluating current and prospective distributors in the territory, you will also maintain regular contact with assigned authorized distribution to promote and encourage the sale of Coromant products.
Additionally, the Sales Engineer will:
- Identify opportunities and deliver results
- Meet goals for sales volume and Administrative and Sales (A&S) expense and product sales
The Sales Engineer must be a highly organized, outgoing self-starter. Apart from holding an associate’s degree in an applied science, a business degree in a related field, or equivalent experience in a technical sales position, you understand technology and have previously worked in an industrial setting. Networking and cooperation are in your DNA, and you have a well-developed ability to prioritize, follow up and conclude deals. You recognize that cultivating effective partnerships with our customers and delivering solutions that meet their current and future demands is essential to continued growth and success.
The Sales Engineer also:
- Works responsibly on your own and as part of a team
- Easily develops productive relationships with clients and prospects and with stakeholders throughout the company
- Handles mathematical calculations for product applications and sales statistics quickly and accurately
