Job Summary: A global manufacturing company located in Akron, OH is seeking a Shipping Administrative Assistant to add to their organization. The main responsibilities of this role will include coordinating traffic activities, processing paperwork for shipments, and coordinating pick-ups with carriers. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, M-F, 8:30am-5pm, $14-15/hr.

Job Responsibilities:
- Processing paperwork for outgoing shipments (BOLs, packing lists, shipping labels).
- Speaking with carriers to coordinate pick-ups, deliveries, and rates.
- Preparing shipping documents, such as custom forms, etc.
- Obtaining freight rates/quotes as needed.
- Researching and resolving inventory errors.

Working hours: M-F 8:30a-5:00p

Skills:
Qualifications:
--Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience with shipping and/or transportation.
--Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
--Strong mathematic skills are needed to calculate rates based on weight, volume, etc.
--Must have strong problem resolution skills.
