Daybreak is looking for social service professionals with dynamic energy and demonstrated experience empowering high risk youth to achieve their optimal well-being.
Currently there is a 1st shift (7a-3p) Monday-Friday position available.
Residential Specialists supervise residents' and prepare and maintain accurate records. They will be required to do crisis interventions, process incoming clients, hotline calls and meet current productivity standards and expectations. They are responsible for ensuring a secure, stable and supportive environment for the residents living in the facility. All activities must be carried out in accordance with OhioMHAS and CARF standards.
Duties also include maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, participation in meal planning and preparation, monitoring of the residents' behavior, health and mental health, and dealing with crisis situations. Daybreak does not utilize seclusion or restraint and depends upon the Residential Specialists to utilize conflict management and crisis prevention interventions.
Successful candidates will possess an Associate’s degree (AA) in human services or a related field, though a Bachelor’s degree (BA) would be preferred, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with adolescents and families.
