About the Job

This position will be located in the Woodland Hills, CA Human Resources Shared Services Department.  The position will provide health and welfare administrative assistance as well as HR and Benefits analytics for 3 Divisions of Silgan Holdings:  Silgan Containers (metal food can producer), Silgan Closures (closure products and equipment and engineering services for the beverage market), and Silgan Dispensing Systems (highly engineered triggers, pumps, and sprayers in the home, health and beauty markets). The position will report to the Director, Employee Benefits and Compensation.

HR analytics using the cloud-based software solution (WorkDay).  Examples of assignments include:

  • Research employee data problem resolution
  • Produce reports or other analytics that measure trends or results within the HR function
  • Develop and maintain scorecards or dashboards
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis on demand
  • Perform data manipulation or modeling in support of critical business decisions
  • Train HR plant personnel on use of the cloud-based solution

 

Compensation Administration:

  • Analyze and report on employee compensation, incentive plans, merit increases and promotions
  • Conduct market analysis of company jobs to determine pay grade assignment and market competitiveness
  • Provide assistance with annual market pricing exercises and merit increases
  • Maintains close partnership with the H.R. recruiters
  • Maintains Company’s pay structure job bank
  • Assist with Pay Equity analysis and Affirmative Action and EEO1 Reporting
  • Provide FMLA paperwork to disabled employees and tracks FMLA and sick leave usage
  • Assist 401k Administrator with some 401k functions including loan monitoring, review payroll alerts regarding new employee eligibility and contribution changes 

 



Job Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or Business or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant HR experience
  • Perform work under minimal supervision
  • Handle moderately complex issues and problems
  • Possess ability to perform analysis on human capital data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information
  • Strong statistical knowledge, Excel skills and math skills
