Have an in depth knowledge of revenue recognition rules targeted at technology companies including SOP 97-2, EITF 08-1, and 09-3. ? Review multiple element arrangements, identify deliverables and allocate contract consideration to the separate units of accounting. ? Determine proper accounting for contract deliverables and document conclusions. ? Maintain and enhance processes used to generate deferred revenue data and VSOE/BESP values. ? Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close ? Coordinate ongoing control environment development and any future SOX policy. ? Collaborate with external audit staff for interim and year-end audit procedures and sign-off. ? Develop, maintain and ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP and Sensus accounting policies and procedures. ? Oversight of all revenue and related cost accounting accruals. ? Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow and controls of the revenue accounting department. ? Respond to inquiries from the Director of Accounting and Corporate Finance regarding financial results and special reporting requests. ? Provide guidance and counsel to a team of 3 direct reports and other business unit finance personnel. ? Provide technical direction the leadership team. ? Act as liaison to various stakeholders within the company.Skills and Experience: ? BA/BS in Accounting and/or Finance is required. ? Public accounting experience and CPA are preferred. ? Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience and/or industry experience with at least 2-3 years specifically related to revenue recognition working with multiple element arrangements. ? Minimum 2 ? 3 years of managerial experience. ? Proficiency using Excel to summarize and analyze data including use of pivot tables. ? Problem-solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously. ? Position requires high attention to detail and a desire for continuous improvement. ? Strong verbal and written communication skills and a professional attitude and demeanor working with the internal team. ? Strong organizational skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects, and prioritize workload to meet monthly/quarterly deadlines. ?
