Account Sales/Pre-Sales Representatives (Suffolk County) Long Island, NY
Positions: Account Sales/Pre-Sales Representative with a fast growing privately held natural food distributor doing business in the Metro New York/Tri-State area.
As an Account Sales/Pre-Sales Representative, you will work closely with members of the sales, merchandising and operations staff, to generate orders at existing accounts, add new independent accounts, increase sales in existing accounts, assist with the launch of new and newly authorized items, and build close relationships with new and existing customers.
The position will report directly to the Director of Sales & Beverages. This is a full-time position with a Monday through Friday work week. There is opportunity for upward mobility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: generating orders and following up on deliveries, adding new independent customers through cold calling and leads generated internally; building relationships with new and existing customers; increasing sales in existing accounts through up selling; gaining additional shelf space; implementing and executing on promotions; presenting new items to all customers; resetting store shelves as needed; working with operations to insure optimum service levels; reporting on sales and product trends; reporting on personal performance.
Candidate must have a car and be hard working; sales driven; reliable, motivated; detail oriented; flexible; able to work independently; able to work with and communicate to external customers and internal staff on a regular basis; have a clean driving record. Experience in the food or beverage industry is a plus. Must have Internet access and solid computer skills; Excel, Microsoft Office, etc.
Applicant should live on Long Island.
Salary $60,000 - $65,000 (Base/Commissions/Incentives). In addition we will provide monthly car allowance; other expenses.
