The Accounting Manager will manage the accounting operations of the business which includes maintaining accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP and timely financial reporting while overseeing General Ledger functions (invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany and reconciliations); Treasury, Banking and Cash Flow; Forecasting and ad hoc analysis. The position will report to the CFO.
Timely and Accurate Monthly Financial Reporting in accordance with GAAP and providing variance explanations and guidance about future trends which will be provided to executive management.
Manage a team of 4-5 junior level accounting clerks, processing receivables and payables and data entry of accounting activities.
Daily Cash position reporting, Weekly gross profit reporting, Weekly Reports Inbound list of records added to roll-over from prior week (to create client invoices).
Oversee creating and issuing client invoices & processing collections, review in-house and third-party invoices, processing cancellations, approving and issuing final client invoices, resolving client invoice and accounting inquiries. Uploading client invoices to the database. Preparing and recording allocations.
Processing vendor payments and investigating and resolving payment inquiries
General Ledger maintenance including proper recording of expenses, payroll journal entries, calculating and recording commissions (monthly).
Bank deposits, bank account and credit card reconciliations.
Preparation of rolling forecasts and an annual budget.
1099 Reporting and Tax support to the accounting firm.
Analysis of financials for the purpose of making recommendations to management.
Education & Experience:
The candidate should, at a minimum have a business Bachelor’s degree. Experience in job/project costing is beneficial.

- 5 years of Accounting experience
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- CPA preferred but no required
