About The Opportunity Position Summary Responsible for assisting in tasks and duties as directed by the intern’s manager. Provides support for critical business projects. Develops technical knowledge and leadership skills for future career marketability. Essential to this Position
The Accounts Receivable Intern for Menasha Corporation will be responsible for assisting the Accounts Receivable team with projects starting Summer 2018.
Areas of Learning/Responsibilities Understand, process and perform accurate and timely application of cash receipts to customer accounts for each legal entity and appropriate currency Identify and route all accounts receivable application exceptions to the appropriate business unit personnel/credit departments Work with Menasha Corporation Operating Companies/Credit Departments to solve cash application discrepancies and questions Provide assistance to division representatives, answering questions and helping with unusual situations as they arise Provide Guidance to credit department personnel, corporate accountants and external auditors in understanding the Accounts Receivable process and its impact on the General Ledger Reconcile multiple bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis. Understand technology and equipment that are an integral part of the accounts receivable process, including SAP, Sharepoint, multiple bank lockboxes, interfaces from multiple banks in multiple currencies, and required record storage Provide back up to Accounts Receivable Coordinator as needed Assist in special projects within the department
Qualifications Freshman, Sophmore, Junior, or Senior pursuing an Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment Strong experience with computer skills, including Microsoft Office; ERP/SAP experience preferred Strong mathematical and problem solving skills Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines under pressure situations Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Excellent data entry skills
