Application Operations Engineer - Houston, TX
Experienced Application Operations Engineer responsible for level 2 support, deploy and maintain the applications supported by the Corporate Engineering Technology Team. Candidates must be flexible and excited about working in a fast paced team environment; exhibit communication and organizational skills; and be willing and able to focus on both internal and external customer service to meet business needs. 1. Work on support calls escalated by the level 1 support team. 2. Respond to the alerts from the various applications. 3. Document the existing features in the applications. 4. Work as a liaison between the end user and the developer for solving customization issues. 5. Work with the vendor for support issues and close the issues. 6. Maintain the application configurations and document any new changes. 7. Build and Deploy code changes to the servers. 8. Restart applications during planned outages. 9. Support CAD Integrations with Teamcenter PLM. 10. Translate user requests into requirements that can be consumed by the business analysts and developers Required Skills: 1. 3 years experience in support and administering Teamcenter PLM. 2. Good understanding of all the admin modules of Teamcenter. 3. Good understanding of Classification, Workflow and Multi-site modules of Teamcenter. 4. Knowledge of Java applications. 5. Knowledge of Atlassian suite of products like JIRA, Confluence. 6. Knowledge of CAD systems like NX, Solidworks, ProE, AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus. 7. Should be able to read and understand C, C++ and Java codes. 8. Understand, track and debug process flows across multiple interconnected systems. 9. Good analytical skills. 10. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. 11. Ability to learn new systems with limited help from peers.
