The following positions are available at the ABCD, Inc., Finance Department:
Budget Assistant: Assist Budget Coordinator with the preparation of Program Budgets for the Agency. Maintain allocation schedule relevant to the preparation of budgets and acquire an overall fiscal knowledge of the Agency. Complete bank reconciliations manually on a monthly consistent and timely basis. Research invoices and monitor expenditures to ensure they comply with appropriate contract regulations. Maintain a filing system on agency grant contracts for the period required by Federal, State and local entities. Maintain and update logs of all payroll changes. Consult with program managers and accountants to ensure that budget adjustments are made in accordance with program changes. Compute ratios and percentages to make interdepartmental comparisons indicate trends, and show other selected factors. Compile, check, and edit figures on Excel spreadsheets in support of the analysis of budget data as directed. Education/Experience/Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, plus two year work experience in Accounting/Finance field. Experience in non-profits a plus. Must have analytical skills and pay attention to detail. Proficient in computer software in particular Excel and MS Word. Must be able to conduct financial analysis using Excel and other financial tools. Working knowledge of General Ledger Charts of Accounts. Knowledge of grant funding or revenue generated within the budget area to assist with reporting and/or projections. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with our funding sources. Must be able to develop and maintain a filing system.
Starting Salary: $21.97/hour for 35 hours/week paid on a bi-weekly basis.
