Magic Memories is looking for a Business Analyst, FP&A to join our team.

The Business Analyst has ownership of reporting and analysis across commercial aspects of the business and provides technical support to the Financial Planning & Analysis team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities of the Business Analyst will be, but are not limited to the following areas:
Performs weekly and monthly operational analysis.
Performs reconciliation between operational and financial reporting system.
Identifies reporting and analysis needs to effectively fulfill requirements of the users.
Performs general and ad hoc reporting as required.
Performs ad hoc analysis to support operations and other parts of the business.
Provides analytical support for project work across the business.
Assists the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager with the planning and budgeting process.
Undertakes variance analysis at agreed intervals during the year in conjunction with budget holders.
Performs new site feasibilities and site post-implementation reviews.
Strategic and Operational: Ability to demonstrate evidence of a trustworthy business-centered approach, and ensuring the solutions support the wider objectives of the organization. Sound judgment in decision making and prioritization of duties.
Analytical: Skilled negotiator and analytical problem solver, with a resolute and solution focus to overcoming barriers.
Detail-oriented: Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Personable and Professional: Highly motivated with a proven ability to build strong, healthy, effective relationships with personnel at all levels of the business.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline.
CMA, CFA, CA designation desirable.
5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Background in financial or operational analysis.
Retail background preferred.
Well-developed MS Excel skills.
Proven experience working in and maintaining Business Intelligence/Corporate Performance Management applications (e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, Vena).
Interest in business process operations and system improvements.
