CNC Lathe Machinist for an expanding company, Okuma experience preferred, 100% paid Insurance for Employee and Family, Dental and Vision plans available. Hours of operation; 6.30 AM to 5.00 PM 50 hours a week with an option to work 55 hours a week. Saturdays and Sundays off.
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment.
Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints specifications, machining parameters and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Programs lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Sets-up lathes, Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, adhering to international standards.
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
