We are recruiting qualified applicants for a full-time CS Therapist II in our Emergency Services program. Hours are flexible and schedule may include evenings, midnights and weekend shifts. Must be able to report to Manassas or Woodbridge from home within 1 hour.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Provides emergency mental health intervention services in a 24/7 program
Conducts screening interviews and makes recommendations for level of care
Provides outreach, assessment, linkage to and coordination with other service providers
Provides crisis intervention for clients, including those at high risk for suicide/homicide-under supervisory guidance, evaluates risk and potential need for hospitalization
Develops and implements risk management plans
Maintains records according to agency's policies and procedures, prepares reports
Attends and participates in staff meetings and professional development activities
Prepares and presents case presentations for clinical supervision
REQUIREMENTS:
Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related behavioral science field and 1-2 years' experience in a Mental Health, Substance Abuse or Emergency Program.
Must be eligible to obtain a LCSW or LPC in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
PREFERENCES:
Experience providing clinical assessments, crisis intervention, hospital diversion and emergency MH and SA evaluations and short term psychotherapy.
Prefer LCSW or LPC.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid driver's license;
Must pass DMV record check;
Must pass TB test;
Master's Degree
Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprinted-based national criminal history record check.
Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services.
ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $66,742.00 - $82,560.75
