- *Per manager - Supply Chain required, Clinical experience preferred but not required. Must be an organized, self-directed worker who can function with minimal oversight. Initially, role will be heavily focused in sourcing / procurement but may morph into a data analytics role. For now- ERP and Supply Chain must haves- eBuy and SAP are a plus but not required. Will interact with multiple vendors and work on multiple trials at one time.
The mission of the Clinical Supply Chain (CSC) function is to ensure products are delivered on time and at cost to clinical trials in support of our client’s project portfolio progression with an objective to sustain 90% timeliness in the delivery of clinical supply material up to clinical sites.
The Clinical Supply Chain team provides tactical and operational oversight and support on the totality of our client’s trials. Those trials spread worldwide and can be sponsored by Clinical R&D, US medical affairs, global medical affairs and in some instances external sponsors. Therefore, CSC team is working from phase1 trials to phase4 trials with both new vaccines and registered vaccines.
On a yearly basis, an average 50 trials across 15 projects are managed by the CSC team worldwide at different stage (preparation, start-up, close-out).
Outline of Clinical Supply Chain Product Sourcing Coordinator:
Capturing the firm demand from CSC project managers
Interacting with product suppliers (internal/external) to refine targeted product, quantity and delivery time. Executing sourcing/booking in the appropriate systems as per procedures in place Coordinating proper and ontime delivery of the products to the packaging site Completing required documentation and archival
Expected Duties of the Clinical Supply Chain Product Sourcing Coordinator
Capture detailed requirements from CSC manager and/or clinical team : trade name, presentation, packaging & language
In case of internal product, connect with proper contact person within material management group to secure proper batch number and quantity.
In case of external product connect with the preferred partners to engage a Request For Proposal.
First interactions with the partner might be informal by phone/email Later interactions will be more formal with formal proposition from their end
Review proposed offers/quotes with the CSC manager to make sure all details are taken into consideration (addresses, quantities, shipment conditions, timelines) and if needed purchasing (markup or cost to deliver). Booking & sourcing of products
For external product, once target product identified, place purchase place the purchase requisition in proper system
For internal product perform appropriate SAP transactions to secure transfer of desired product to Clinical Supply Chain custody.
Follow-up the proper delivery of the products and closing the loop in purchasing/SAP system.
Alert the CSC manager in charge along the way in case of an issue and/or risk to not meet the timelines.

Other solution: project management, purchasing Education:
Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Health Science, engineering or related discipline. Demonstrated ability to work in complex settings and deadline driven.
At least 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical business required, preferably within supply chain, clinical operations, manufacturing or logistics environments.
Project management and APICS certifications desired.
