Littleton Academy is a 15 bed residential treatment facility for latency aged children that specializes in trauma informed care and specialty treatment modalities. Littleton Academy provides comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and 24 hour direct care supervision. Students are referred to Littleton Academy based on struggles maintaining safety at less restrictive levels of care and who require the support of a full service treatment modality to make progress towards their treatment goals.
Littleton Academy provides a variety of clinical services directly to the residents. This includes individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, permanency planning and assessment along with real-world training within the milieu. Clinicians are responsible for maintaining positive relationships with outside agencies, families, and other involved parties. The clinician serves as an integral member of the residents’ interdisciplinary treatment team and is responsible for all documentation, assessments, and treatment plans as required by the program. Clinicians work to educate and train staff on the individualized recommendations for each youth and make those recommendations functional within the milieu. The Clinician is responsible for treatment planning and coordinating interventions for the clients through an ARC framework, which seeks to build healthy attachments, improve personal competency and increase effective regulation strategies. Availability for evening shifts, community-based treatment, and on-call availability is required.
