Support AEGIS combat system maintenance and modernization planning, scheduling, and execution efforts. Provide logistics, technical and programmatic support services to NSWC PHD Foreign Military Sales (FMS) staff in efforts associated with new ship construction and in-service life cycle support for the AEGIS Combat Systems on ships sold to Japan, Spain, Korea, Norway and Australia. Provide liaison between the NSWC PHD FMS team and the larger NAVSEA AEGIS Combat System community to research and obtain recommendations to resolve reported problems as they arise. Assist in the development of Combat System maintenance and modernization work packages and plans, maintenance of metrics, technical manual reviews, and review of ORDALT installation candidates. Work within a team to maintain online tools and databases for tracking of FMS Liaison Information Transferal Requests, ORDALTS and Maintenance Availability planning milestones and coordination efforts.
BS degree OR minimum of 10 years' experience within Navy shipboard environment with 5 years focused on the AEGIS Combat System. Possess superior leadership, attention to detail, and organizational skills with the confidence to work independently and to provide efficient response to task deadlines. Applicant must have a working knowledge of U.S. Navy Maintenance and Modernization policies, procedures and practices. Knowledge of naval operations and in-depth familiarity with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) as related to Maintenance Availabilities and Overhaul will be helpful but not required.
Applicant must have exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. Preferred applicant would have served at least one active duty tour onboard an AEGIS ship as Division Officer, Division Leading Chief or Combat System Maintenance Manager.
