GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements for this position include but are not limited to an in-depth working knowledge/analysis of enterprise batch scheduling systems, used in a large Data Center environment. Advanced knowledge of Iseries systems and ROBOT (scheduling, network and Enterprise) scheduling packages and monitoring systems. Supporting projects involving multiple teams and technologies. This job will require working a specific shift schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
The responsibilities for this position includes ROBOT job scheduling for creating new and updated jobs as requested. Create and maintain Calendars as needed. Knowledge of Opal is a plus. Troubleshoot resolve scheduling issues by working closely with applications teams on new and updated tasks and/or processes. Will work within the Cardinal change process. Provide support for Iseries Halcyon GUI for monitoring. Supports BRMS, and IBM Protectier Virtual tape environments. Works with monitoring team, vendors and tier 2 teams for (ESM, Tivoli, Windows, Linux/UNIX, Halcyon, and Automic) as needed. Works with applications and systems analysts in problem determination for processing errors and the resolution for test and production systems. Builds and maintains a variety of documentation: including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), run sheets, project plans, etc. Keeps technology skills up-to-date. Position in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above as well as other related duties as assigned. Reports to: Data Center Supervisor
EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT:
" 4+ years of experience in Data Center Operations as an Enterprise/Production Control Scheduler in a large-scale data center
" Experience with Web Services, File Events and Cloud environments a plus
" Basic programming or scripting would also be helpful.
