DIRECTOR OF CUSTOMER APPLICATIONS - PERM - MORRISVILLE, NC
Director of Customer Applications Responsibilities:
*Lead and develop customer application solutions to provide differentiating capability utilizing cross-functional team members
*Design, build, implement and document systems, components, integrations and processes in various software languages including Java and/or Ruby
*Develop Technology Roadmap to ensure health, scalability, performance and reliability of systems
*Identify gaps in current processes and work on improvements
*Design and deliver web solutions by keeping the customer at the center at all times
*Collaborate with local business/technology teams to ensure that we are designing and delivering to the company overall vision and direction
*Create products that are fit for purpose in a digital, mobile first customer centric world
*Enable delivery of product/solution in a way that meets the needs to the organization ensuring speed and quality
*Manage, develop and grow a strong global development team, onshore and offshore employees and third party partners, which support different products and/or lines of businesses
*Track and manage project requests, timelines, cost center budget and contracts
*Troubleshoot and quickly come up with solutions related to networks, systems integration, and various types of client-based applications
*Develop, share, support, enforce, and integrate best practices and technology standards across the organization
Director of Customer Applications Requirements:
*MS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
*15 + years industry experience with a significant portion of that in IT functions
*8 years of management experience in application and/or systems development
*Strong knowledge about software development methodologies
*Java programming experience
*Familiar with SOA, Web Security Concepts, Cache Management and Managed memory Architecture
*Familiar with Cloud platforms AWS, Heroku, Aliyun
*Expert in SQL tools and Queries
*Experience and/or understanding of multi-platform environments (Linux, Windows)
*Experience working with at least one of the major SQL database engines (Postgres, SQL Server)
*Demonstrated knowledge of large-scale systems integration
*Working knowledge of Agile methodology is a must
*Understanding of databases, web applications, and ERP applications
*Has successfully grown and managed a team in a global environment
