Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Director of General Manufacturing to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The selected candidate will lead, manage and integrate product delivery and support organizations into an effective high performance team.
In coordination with IPT leadership, functional management and shared services, ensures that Program operations and facilities have the capabilities and resources required to meet current and future needs.
Responsible for on-time delivery of high quality products and services that meets all contractual requirements and business objectives.
Maintains a clean and safe environment utilizing and improving established factory accountability processes.
Provides leadership that fosters motivation and communication to the work force.
Manages direct/Indirect Budgets and Capital Asset Expenditures.
Supports the continuous improvement of people (to include training & development), products, processes, systems and services through the application of lean, Six-Sigma, common best practices, and other appropriate tools and techniques.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Bachelor's Degree Required
9 years of Manufacturing or Program Management Experience
An active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance
The ability to obtain and maintain special program access
Experience with EVMS
Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Active, In scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance
