Summary of Responsibilities:
Assist managers and supervisors in maintaining and reinforcing environmental and safety standards in compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations as well as Group policy and high standards; Participate in risk assessments to address unsafe conditions and hazards in the workplace; Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure SHE compliance; Provide training and orientation for employees and contractors; Maintain the Company EMS (ISO 14001); Ensure interaction with representatives of federal and state agencies and other environment and safety professionals; Ensure monitoring, reporting and recordkeeping consistent with laws and regulation and Group standards.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of prior related experience; Bachelor's degree in Environmental science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related is preferred; Strong regulatory knowledge in federal, state EPA, OSHA regulations; High sense of integrity and business ethics; Strong organizational skills; Strong team spirit; Good verbal and written communication skills; Candidates with experience in process industry encouraged to apply.
