The predictive ER&D (Engineering Research & Development) Estimator is responsible for the development of Engineering predictive ER&D estimates for specific vehicle families. The best fit candidate is a strong mix between Finance and Engineering with the strength being Finance. The Estimator works with standard estimating templates and the program team to gather all of the program requirements necessary to complete an estimate. Once the information has been assembled, the estimate can begin with our internal team to develop the manpower and with the Product Responsible to determine the prototype tooling, co-design costs, test parts, etc. Additionally, the Estimator is the coordinator of information so that Quality, Design Office, MOPAR, and Powertrain Integration can also complete their ER&D estimates. The ER&D Estimator then assembles all of the respective ER&D estimates into one complete file that is based off of consistent assumptions to support an approval event. Stressful situations can occur when supporting large approval events where the estimator is responsible for many estimates. The ER&D Estimator must be able to manage his/her time and support the program teams for all approval events.
