You will help the company to assess and analyze complex operational risks utilizing a structured and systematic risk management framework through regular interactions with subject matter experts and senior leaders, including executives and officers. You will be responsible for leading assignments with broad scope and significant complexity in a cross-functional team environment. You will regularly present technically complex and impactful results to audiences of senior executives and decision makers. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
+ Project Leadership: Lead projects of major scope and scale pertaining to risk management at SCE. This can include integrating risk-informed decision-making into SCE enterprise processes, developing and deploying strategies and risks analyses for regulatory filings related to risk, leading structured and systematic reviews of enterprise and operational initiatives and practices to efficiently reduce risk, etc.
+ ERM Framework Enhancement: Develop and implement enhancements to create a more robust process for identifying and assessing risks throughout the company.
+ Enterprise Risks: Conduct risk assessments, coordinate and consult with all Operating Units (OUs), identify risks not already being tracked (emerging or changing risks), and evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of each risk.
+ Operational/Asset Risk: Partner with internal and external SMEs to establish the best methodologies in assessing a wide range of risks across the company. This will require in-depth understanding of risk assessment techniques, statistical/probabilistic modeling, operations, asset management, and physical and financial loss control.
+ Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis efforts to ensure that whenever possible, the underlying cause of any significant loss is understood. This also includes disseminating the results of the analysis to all areas of the company where this information could be used to reduce risk in the future.
+ ERM Governance: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems required for maintaining and improving the overall ERM mission.
Qualifications
The essentials
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ Ten years of experience in quantitative analysis, cross-functional project management for major initiatives, risk management, loss prevention, business planning, strategic planning, or operations, maintenance, construction of the electric systems or electric generation.
+ Three years of experiencemanaging, coordinating, and performing complex business analysis and regulatory proceedings.
The preferred
+ Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, or a risk related discipline.
+ Project management skills and deep operational knowledge.
+ Seven of more years of experience with the development and leading complex projects or programs.
+ Five or more years of operational risk management experience.
+ Experience leading cross-functional teams.
