Plans utilization of space and facilities for company consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency, modernization and available facilities and funds. Collect, quantify, program, and prioritize various customer space projects. Coordinate scope of work with employees assigned to the project. Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified. Ensures space and move projects are executed in accordance with established departmental, building, and client means, methods, and procedures. Plans and coordinates all phases of facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation. Develops and designs feasibility studies for review. Track/conduct audits on capacity, space allocations and space requests. Acts as primary contact for facilities, project activities and leads project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance. Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans, budgets and schedules. Maintains space, finish and furniture standards for the sector. Utilizes the CAFM system that houses floor plans, space configurations, furniture layouts, Ensures vendor compliance with building standards and policies, maintains as-built files and other documentation, maintains information in database system including furniture and move documentation. Conduct furniture audits throughout the campus noting any areas with excess furniture, non-standard furniture, and providing recommendations. Provide project support for large moves. Oversees move process for the campus. Manages space and move work orders / requests received in ticketing system. Act as lead on special projects. Issues work orders and purchase orders for approved projects to contractors, supervises furniture and related equipment moves, receives and verifies invoices for payment.
5 Years with Bachelors in Science; or 3 Years with Masters; or 0 Years with PhD; experience to include facilities, design and/or construction.
Understand and have experience with all forms of construction documentation such as specifications, blueprints, building codes, etc.
Software competency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Visio.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
5+ years Space Planning and CAFM technology coordination preferred.
Knowledge of the construction process for corporations.
Understand all building regulations and safety practices incorporated into the work space
Experience with database work order or CAFM system.
Strong knowledge of move process and furniture systems.
Ability to develop excellent client relations, client management and consultation skills.
Client and customer service focused with strong organizational, technology and communication skills.
