Our team isseeking an individual that has a desire to work with and support both the mechanical design teamand work with shop floor mechanicson producibility issues pertaining to F35. Our team specializes in the fabrication of graphite composite laminates as well as final assembly, Non-Destruct Testing, Precision Milling, Cure Cycling, Laser Projection, hand Lamination and Automated Fiber Placement.
Composites Manufacturing Engineers support the design formanufacturing processes, write shop procedures and interrogate production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, MRB processing, precision machining and material handling issues related to manufacturing execution systems.
Composites Manufacturing Engineering teammembershavecross-functional roles and relationshipswith industrial engineering, automation and production control and can sometimes be asked to support site visits located in Palmdale, CA up on the IAL-IntegratedAssembly Line.M.E's will be asked support the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
Composites Manufacturing Engineers interrogate CATIA designs and then sequence the build operations specific to the part being manufactured in MES - Manufacturing Execution System. Both procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that often timesaffect product performance and quality are also reviewed thoroughly during these initial investigative steps.
Manufacturing Engineer isoften times asked to adapt machines or equipment design tofacilitateefficientproduction conditions. Manufacturing Engineersmay also incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan to ensureperformance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
Manufacturing engineers will investigate quality defectsand initiate corrective actionplans asneeded to address thedeficienciesand ensure good first-time product quality.
Lastly, manufacturing engineers provide clearguidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment capabilities and manufacturing techniques. M.E's will put processes and procedures in place thatare in compliance with customerregulations.
