A well-known Civil Construction general contractor with a total of 60 years of experience in the industry is offering a new opportunity to join their prominent heavy civil team. They are a highly decorated trailblazer in the New York construction industry taking part in many of the heavy civil construction projects in the Greater New York Area.
Your new role
You are a Field Engineer with a minimum 2+ years of experience with heavy civil construction involvement and familiarity with steel projects. Additionally you have experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT and/or MTA ventures. As a Field Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- creating daily field reports, an acute understanding of takeoffs, submittals, RFI's and change orders
- overseeing laborers
- monitoring schedules and design specifications
- executing worksite safety reports
- procuring materials and equipment
- consulting with foreman and project managers in order to coordinate schedule
Furthermore, you possess outstanding communication skills in order to relay accurate information among the varying on-site departments. Ideally, your experience includes projects ranging between $5MM to $100MM with New York public agencies.
What you'll need to succeed
A minimum 2+ years of experience with heavy civil construction general contractors. A Bachelors' degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management and/or an equivalent degree. You have knowledge of utilities and/or transit and have worked on New York public agency projects.
