Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking an F-35 Supportable Low Observable (SLO) Field Support Technician Level 4 to support NASLemoore, CA.
The candidate will act as the Northrop Grumman Corporation technical interface to the customer in resolving issues arising from operations, maintenance, and other logistics and engineering support activities involving the F-35 aircraft SLO and structures systems.
Candidate will integrate into a high tempo military operational environment. Position falls under a primary contractor and as such will team up with a diverse group of engineers, maintenance support personnel, and a Military Squadron. Candidate will need to be a self-starter and must be able to lead and provide guidance to military and civilian maintainers with confidence and authority.
Selected Candidate must be able to document maintenance activities, collate data, analyze maintenance issues, perform defect and trend analysis, provide recommendations to reduce aircraft down time, improve maintenance practices,
advise on complex maintenance tasks and provide training to service personnel on F-35 SLO and Structures systems when requested. Furthermore, candidate must be able to recommend solutions to support the F-35 engineering
Candidate must be knowledgeable of Radio Frequency (RF) diagnostic and verification techniques for maintaining LO systems and be able to operate LO diagnostic equipment with appropriate training.
The candidate will work with LO systems design engineers to verify LO repairs meet performance requirements. The candidate must understand interrelationships of aircraft LO material inspection, documentation methods and tools, and aircraft signature computation and maintenance prioritization tools.
Candidate must be willing to work any shift and weekend, if necessary, to support the F-35 operational mission. Selected candidate must also be able to deploy aboard ship to support aircraft operations.Basic Qualifications:
- AA Degree or other 2 year technical degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 6 years ofLow Observable aircraft experience maintenance experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a formal technical degree.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to start is required.
- F-35 aircraft experience
- Extensive Field Service or prior military experience
- Advanced composite and structures experience
- Working knowledge of engineering tools such as CATIA, VAS, PDM
