Shift Requirements1st Shift About The Opportunity Position Summary Compiles and analyzes financial information for our organization. Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Essential to this Position
Essential to this Position
The Financial Analyst is a key member of the local accounting team that will be actively involved in daily accounting functions, close and will be heavily engaged in various projects/analytics, etc. This is a robust role that will have the potential to have a positive impact at the local plant and offer opportunities to engage with departments and functions throughout the rest of the Menasha organization. There will be a solid mix of team-oriented and independent tasks with opportunity for growth. The incumbent must be self-motivated, a self-starter and have a positive attitude!
Participate in close process by completing journal entries, reconciliations, compiling financial statements and other close activities as needed Engage in the evaluation and improvement of processes, procedures and controls within the local accounting function and across all plant functions. Including compliance with GAAP Perform sales and cost analytics Exposure to cost accounting to analyze overhead rates, evaluate labor/material variances, efficiencies, etc. Engage in inventory valuation and fixed asset reporting Actively participate in lean manufacturing and lean office initiatives Provide leadership support to AP, Invoicing, Collections, Billing and Payroll positions with an occasional need to do hands-on backup Assist Controller with special projects, as needed, to achieve company goals
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration required Minimum of 3-5 years’ accounting experience required Demonstrated ability to understand process flow Thorough understanding of GAAP Ability to interact independently with management at all levels Good judgment and independent decision-making skills Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills Experience with accounting software Working knowledge of Logic, SAP, BVP and/or related ERP is preferred Requires strong working knowledge of how ERP systems work and how various subsystems flow within the ERP system and ultimately into the General Ledger
