Superior Group is looking to hire a Global Mobility Specialist for their client in Milpitas
Working in the Global Talent Acquisition group, the Global Mobility Specialist will report to the Global Mobility Manager and provide administrative support in the areas of immigration, relocation, transfers, international assignments, I-9, compliance and global mobility projects. In this hands-on role, you will follow company procedures in initiating, monitoring progress and tracking immigration and relocation cases. .
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working with the Global Mobility Manager, suppliers and other stakeholders on immigration, relocation, assignments, transfer casesConducting candidate's immigration screenings, requesting relocation estimate from supplier and review for accuracyRequesting deemed export screeningsWorking with external counsel on preparation of employment based green card cases Handling routine green card tasks such as postings, advertisements, and educating manager and employees on the processParticipating in meetingsMaintaining I-9 forms for foreign nationalsMaintaining files for immigration and relocation casesRecordkeeping, tracking and reportingStaying abreast of US and Global immigration updates and trends in order to benchmark and develop alternative solutions to immigration challengesTracking visas and permanent residency application statuses and prepare activity reports.Proactively monitor the progress of immigration, relocation, transfers, international assignment cases and communicate with the appropriate stakeholder regarding the status of new visa petitions, extensions, green card related work and relocationWorking closely with outside immigration counsel on all work authorization and immigration cases to ensure timely processing and issue resolution.Provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards for all work performedProvide backup support in other miscellaneous projects and tasks related to immigration, relocation, transfers, international assignments and global mobility program
QualificationsB.S. degree or equivalentMinimum one year experience in a corporate environment at a multinational companyExperience in US and/or global immigration, US and international relocation, transfers, international assignments/expats. Tax equalization a plus.Knowledge of both US non-immigrant visas and employment based green card regulationsKnowledge of I-9 US employment eligibility regulationsSelf-motivated, proactive, team playerHigh degree of detail orientationResourceful, with the ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced, flexible environmentDemonstrated ability to meet tight deadlinesDemonstrated success in prioritizing and organizing multiple tasksAbility to understand the big picture of work processesExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsProficient in MSWord, Excel (VlookUp, Pivot tables, etc.), PowerPointIndividual must enjoy working in a dynamic and fast pace environment and conducting detailed work with accurate results Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
