Responsible for the daily administrative tasks requested by the HR Department. Completes Minnesota background study and I-9 forms with proper identification and work eligibility requirements are met. Manages access badge creation for MCHS River Corridor sites. Maintains confidentiality of information. Strong communication skills and customer orientation, with the ability to adapt to each individual person and situation, is essential. Possesses strong problem solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions and judgement calls as problems and questions arise with no clearly defined answers or solutions. Will be required to prioritize projects and be multi-task oriented. Must be highly organized and portray a confident and professional demeanor.
The HR Assistant is responsible for delivering high quality customer service for various types of personnel inquiries and requests.
Assists the Human Resource department with operational items as assigned based on the needs of the department.Receives direction from the HR Service Supervisor.
Works collaboratively with leaders, physicians, managers, employees and colleagues throughout our Client's enterprise as well as external vendors and contractors.
A high school diploma or G.E.D is required. Associate degree or formal training in a secretarial/receptionist field or equivalent experience is preferred.Must have prior computer experience and proficiency with office equipment. Microsoft products including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and Internet Explorer or similar web browser experience strongly preferred. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills with good decision-making and judgment capabilities. Requires strong customer service skills with the ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and organize while handling a variety of tasks simultaneously. Must be willing to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Must have the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Must meet one of the following educational/work experience requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business, HR or related field OR
One or two year degree/diploma in a secretarial/administrative assistant role OR
2 years related experience
Must have computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel)
Must possess high-level skill in organization, interpersonal relations, excellent written and oral communication skills
Must have ability to be flexible in handling assignments and use a variety of office equipment
