New Castle, Delaware company seeks a Human Resources Specialist. We are seeking a highly organized individual with strong follow through.
Process new employees with review of policies, insurance & benefits
Implementation and updating policies and procedures including workplace safety, labor, legislation, and other human resource issues.
Create, implement and manage employee orientation and training programs, benefit plans, policies and guidelines.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and industry regulations.
Advise management of legal implications of HR issues related to discipline and employee grievances.
Utilize current technology to enhance all human resource policies and procedures
Payroll using ADP platform
Keep abreast of changing State and Federal laws concerning HR.
Update employee handbook as necessary
Perform annual reviews
Maintain employee personnel files, including attendance records and vacation schedules
Consult with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources and business performance issues, resolving issues.
The candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience with Human Resources.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Adapt to a diverse workplace with factory, office, and executive employees.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, etc.
Knowledge of Quickbooks a plus
Ability to train management staff in areas of HR diplomacy
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field
PHR / SPHR certification a plus

Affiliation/membership with the Society of Human Resource Management
Experience with administration of health, vision, and dental insurance.
