Systems engineering performs technical planning, requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Responsible for executing all Systems Engineering work scope to meet program requirements and objectives within defined scope, quality, time, and cost constraints. Performs scheduling, forecasting and cost reporting and analysis on assigned programs.
Travel is occasional, consisting of visits to customer and other contractor offices for technical reviews, meetings, and working groups. Travel may increase in frequency as systems activity increases during actual events.
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline
At least three years' industry experience with BS degree or an MS degree in engineering
Proficient with MS Office applications
Experience in Requirements Development & Management
Ability to multi task and balance multiple project simultaneously
Strong commitment, collaborative approach, and heightened sense of process
Effective written and oral communication skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
US citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD secret clearance
MS degree in engineering
Experience with IBM Rational DOORS
Experience in system modeling using UML/SysML and associated modeling software
Experience with Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Office, military, and/or related Defense systems
Working Knowledge of DoD Systems Engineering Principles and Policies.
A current DoD Secret clearance
