Job Description: Machine Operator
Tends machine that molds rubber material into custom products
Loads feeding mechanism with strips of rubber material.
Starts machine and removes product from press and inspects per instructions.
Responsible for the quality of work he/she is performing.
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and
differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently
is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds,
and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and vibration.
The Team Member is responsible for the quality of work he/she is producing.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
