Responsible for programming and maintaining PLC’s and electrical systems. Assist in mechanical area as well.
w Bachelors or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-7 years electrical maintenance experience in similar environment. Knowledge and experience may be substituted for degree.
w Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide direction and training to other maintenance personnel.
w Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, programming languages, complicated drawings and specifications, advanced mathematics and use a variety of computer related equipment and instruments.
w Effectively interfaces with workers and supervisors to solicit information about problems, performance and scheduling concerns.
w Maintain a clean and organized work area that promotes safety and efficiency.
w Able to work varied shifts, including weekends.
w PLC programming and design changes as needed.
w Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, either electrical or mechanical.
w Responsible for performing electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
w Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
w Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required: fabricated parts, welds, etc.
w Interface with production supervisors and workers to solicit information about problems and performance.
w Maintain a clean and well organized work area that promotes safety and efficiency
w Ensure compliance with applicable quality system standards and the unit’s food safety, and security programs in support of essential manufacturing strategies and practices.
w Serves as Alternate to Maintenance Mechanics to ensure effective coverage to the Safe Quality Food responsibilities pertaining to that position.
