Nesco Resource is looking to hire a Manufacturing Enginieer for a company in Dayton, OH.
Pay: $14+/hr based on experience
Shift: 1st and 3rd

Summary: Collaborates with the Sales Department in response to customer RFQs to determine appropriate parameters. Part launch team member, R&D, process improvement, and training at job launch. CMM Programmer.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Collaborates with Sales Department in response to customer RFQs to determine:
a. Manufacturing processes
b. Equipment needs: Mills, Lathes, Special Equipment, etc.
c. Tooling needs: Machining and Inspection
i. Design of needed tooling
ii. Expense of needed tooling
d. Estimate first piece inspections timing
e. Estimate cycle times
f. Inspection resource requirements and expenses
i. First piece inspection
ii. Production Runs
2. New Part Launch
a. Develop Manufacturing process
b. Determine equipment needed
c. Design and build of manufacturing and inspection tooling
i. May include directing others to build tooling
d. Determine needed cutting tools
e. Create needed manufacturing documents
f. Numerically controlled programs
g. Setup and run-off of first piece
i. May include running some production parts to determine process validity
h. Inspection of first piece and production parts: uses all inspection equipment, including CMM
i. Write program for CMM
ii. Test and inspect parts utilizing CMM program
3. Process Improvement
4. Train Production Supervisor and Machine Operators at job launch
5. Active participation in cross functional teams;
6. Develops and updates ISO work instructions and procedures; provides training as required;
a. Setup & Inspection Sheets create and prove
b. All routing paperwork
7. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:
Bachelor or Associate's degree in a business related major preferred, and/or four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient keyboarding skills and skilled working knowledge of Windows software and Microsoft Office software products. A demonstrated working knowledge base of gauge metrology, SPC, and MSA within a manufacturing environment. An understanding of ISO 9001 standards is preferred. Exhibited effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and organizational skills. Must be resourceful with good interpersonal skills by which to interface with associates and vendors.
