We have a great opportunity for a Master Plumber/Facilities Trade Technician with a top manufacturer in Delaware.
Job Summary: Incumbent works with little supervision helping design, troubleshoot and repair all Plumbing/Piping systems and stationary equipment i.e. air compressors, boilers, fire/jockey pumps, sprinkler systems, etc. in a typical commercial/industrial facility.
Specifies and installs as required all utilities to support piping requirements for new and existing machinery installations.
Provides expertise and skills to the overall effort of analyzing, diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning Facilities equipment.
Leads the annual efforts for system maintenance including boiler cleaning/inspection, air compressor PM, fire sprinkler systems, grease/acid trap maintenance and follow up for resolution of identified problems.
Takes ownership of centralized systems such as compressed air, water and steam distribution, etc. by being proactive in system documentation, maintenance and identifying opportunities for improvements that increase system reliability.
For the State of Delaware licensed plumber/pipe fitter role, takes responsibility for all plumbing work performed at Milford Site by periodically inspecting random installations and insuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
Participates/contributes to major project designs with the Dept. Manager, Facilities Engineer, Dept. Lead, Engineering consultants, contractors and other resources.
Assists other crafts as required to properly maintain the facilities and respond to breakdown or emergency situations.
Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
