The El Paso - Texas Oncology group consists of two community-based cancer centers treating on average 110 patients a day. The centers have active SRS, SBRT, HDR programs supported by 2 board certified radiation oncologists. Equipment includes: 1 Varian TrueBeam, 1 Varian Trilogy, 1 Varian 21iX, and 1 Varian 600C, 1 Elekta MicroSelectron HDR, 1 CT simulator, 1 PET/CT, Varian Eclipse, Elekta MOSAIQ R&V, RadCalc, Sun Nuclear ATLAS, Sun Nuclear SNC SunCHECK, and Mapcheck2.
-Master's degree in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university.
-Minimum two to five years experience in clinical radiation physics.
-Must be board certified or have completed a CAMPEP approved residency, be board eligible, and have working experience in a clinical environment.
Texas Oncology – El Paso is home to 12 Hematologists/Oncologists, 2 Radiation Oncologist, 3 Nurse Practitioners and a Physician Assistant. We offer in house labs, imaging and have a full-time Oncology pharmacist. El Paso is surrounded by the beautiful Franklin mountains and is a short drive to great skiing just across the border in New Mexico. El Paso is home to Fort Bliss Army Installation, The University of Texas – El Paso, San Diego Padres AAA baseball affiliate, the El Paso Chihauhua’s, along with the fine arts and museums typical of any major American city.
Texas Oncology is seeking a Therapeutic Medical Physicist to join our El Paso area practices. The successful candidate must be board certified or have completed a CAMPEP approved residency, be board eligible, and have working experience in a clinical environment. Experience with Eclipse, iPLAN, MOSAIQ, Varian linacs, and Nucletron HDR’s is a plus. The successful candidate will join our team of 3 physicists, and 3 dosimetrists in providing a full range of clinical medical physics services in support of our 2 clinics. All sites share a single database for EMR, treatment planning (conventional and SRS), 2nd check program, and ATLAS.
