Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for producing quality product based on customer’s specifications efficiently. Follow production department procedures and perform specific duties based on the standard operating procedures. Operator is accountable for inspections, machine adjustments, and verification of correct product. Daily in-process inspection requires the ability to use calipers, comparator, blade micrometer and the comprehension of a blue print. Machine operator, will also work on continuous improvements with regard to workmanship standards, standard operating procedures, and safety suggestions. Expedite parts through secondary operations such as; deburr, tumble and sort. Work with Quality team for non-conformances and document improvements. Assist in semiannual preventative maintenance.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Must have previous machining manufacturing Knowledge in Tor-4 or CNC a plus, Strong fundamentals of precision machining, while sustaining production requirements.
- Strongly Preferred: Experience working under microscope, along with hand dexterity to utilize
- Knowledge of first article, and in-process inspection
- Mathematical proficiency
- Must be willing to be cross trained
- Mechanically inclined
- Work with multiple teams/departments
- Maintain a strong and consistent pace in a team
- Follow instruction independently, short correspondence and memos is required
- Troubleshooting skills
- Detail oriented
- Highly motivated and self-starting
- Good attendance
- Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed and requested by management.
