The Director of Payroll will work under the leadership of the Sr.Director of Shared Services and is reponsible for the processing and recording of all payroll transactions for over 4000 employees. Salary $75,253 to $98,567 depending upon experience.
Will be responsible for maintenance and update of payroll information, oversight of payrol liabilities, compliance, payroll reporting and record-keeping related duties. They will also work closely with Unemployment Claims Administrator vendor to ensure optimum Unemployment Insurance rates. Maintains payroll Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments. Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies. Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations. Coordinate month-end close activities including periodic accruals. Review and approve GL accont analysis and reconciliations for accounts related to Payroll. Communicate actively with Operations, HR and Billing to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.
- Minimum of 7 years of payroll experience with at least 5 years of payroll management experience within a mid to large size corporation
- Multi-state, Multi-site payroll experience
- Oracle Cloud HCM or Fusion experience required
- PeopleSoft Financial Software
- In-depth knowledge of Payroll taxes
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
- Current member of APA preferred
