Summary of Position Compile and record employee time and payroll data. May compute employees' time worked, production and commissions. May compute and post wages and deductions or prepare paychecks. Primary Responsibilities Verify any new hire has been approved by the VP and President. Ensure all new employees are entered into the payroll system. Perform background checks and alert hiring manager of results. Keep employee files up-to-date with all necessary documentation. Ensure I9s are completed accurately prior to filing. Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, and insurance and 401(k) deductions. Poll electronic time clocks and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy. Contact various department supervisors for any missed times. Process weekly transfer of payroll data to timekeeping system. Compile internal management reports from payroll system software. Maintain the list of active employees in appropriate company programs as needed. Complies with all Company safety guidelines and processes.
