The Department of Philosophy at the Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking applicants for a Category II Lecturer. This position will begin in the Fall 2018 semester.
The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.
This position will teach 10 undergraduate courses, five per semester/15 credit hours, over the course of the 2018-2019 academic year in the Department of Philosophy
Teaching may include online, face-to-face and hybrid instruction; face-to-face instruction my include day, evening and weekend as needed.

Ph.D. in Philosophy or related field completed by August 1, 2018.
Ph.D. in Philosophy completed by August 1, 2018.
Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching undergraduate philosophy courses.
Some combination of competencies in Ethics and the History of Ethics, Epistemology, History, and Philosophy of Science, Informal Logic, Religious Studies, Eastern Philosophy, or Cross-Cultural Studies.
Experience working with and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse urban student population including (but not limited to) students of color, LBGTQIA students, students from low-income backgrounds, first-generation students, students with disabilities, undocumented students, non-traditional students, student veterans, and English-language learners.
RANK & SALARY:
The final salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
