The City of Oelwein Police Department is accepting applications for the positions of Police 2nd Lieutenant and Police Officer.
This is a key supervisory and leadership position in the Police Department.
Four (4) years of experience in full-time civilian law enforcement or an equivalent combination of
education and experience. Two years of education is equivalent to one year of law enforcement experience.
Salary range will be $56,310 -- $58,016/annual DOQ, with a fringe benefits package.
Must be 21 years or older at the time of employment.
Two-year degree preferred.
ILEA Certified preferred but not required at time of hiring.
Salary range is $44,220 to $48,443 /year DOQ
