Lead internally within the NPBD organization to identify customer business objectives and success criteria.
Conduct solution demonstrations, deliver proof of concepts and support ongoing technical discussions with end users during the sales process.
Collaborate on customer issues, pricing models, product and/or service trials and solution architecture.
Represent the BD Team by responding to proposals, leveraging technical expertise and being accountable for the architecture of proposed solutions.
Provide support on customer questions related to Nominet’s products and services in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to drive sales with the BD Team through effective demonstration and communication of Nominet’s product and service value to customers.
Collaborative, productive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders (both internal and external).
5 years experience in a technical sales role.
Excellent communication skills. Particularly the ability to relate Nominet’s capabilities and benefits to customers in the industry in a way that differentiates Nominet’s offerings from competitors.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to discern ‘must have’ market requirements from ‘nice to have’ requirements.
Strong knowledge of internet, virtualization and networking technologies that include: Unix/Linux, TCP/IP, UDP, and DNS.
Experience with at least one scripting language.
Experience with at least one relational database technology.
Must be a collaborative team player with BD, Marketing, and Product development teams.
Hands-on approach with customers and a full commitment to customer success.
Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
