Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse data flow engineers located at Annapolis Junction, MD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer with a strong background in Data Modeling to provide technical support and system engineering for a business rules engine processing system whose primary usage is ETL (Extract, Transform, Load). The selected candidate will develop, improve and modernize the detailed design of each rules/ETL process based on changes and modernization driven by Cyber mission needs. Analyze new sources of data, create logical data models that conform to customer standards, and create documents to map the new sources and attributes to the destination repository's dictionary. Document the detailed design using accepted object oriented design practices as well as assisting in resolving issues that impede the ability of the software engineers to complete their tasks. The selected candidate will also be responsible for assisting in requirement tracking, sprint planning and scheduling in addition to design changes and provide data flow system engineering support.
19+ years of experience performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis.
10 years experience in data modeling and/or ETL
3 years experience in Cyber mission processing
Developing solutions integrating and extending COTS products
Experienced with system architectures in a service oriented and Enterprise Service Bus environment.
Excellent communication and customer skills.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline from an accredited college or university is required Four (4) years of additional software/systems engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
Background in software development
Experience years leading, providing technical supervision, and guiding mid-level engineering personnel; solving varied technical/scientific problems.
Experience with requirement tracking, sprint planning and scheduling
